Pickerington, known as Jacksonville until 1827, is a small city in Fairfield and Franklin counties. As of the latest census, its population is 20,631, a slight increase from the 18,291 people registered in 2010.
Also recognized as a suburb of Columbus, it’s positioned 14.04 miles southeast of Ohio’s state capital. You can reach it by car if you take the I-70 route (the distance that way would be 17 miles).
